Here at Wilmott-IT, we have been extremely busy over the last 12 months.We have even gone to the extreme of turning away new business in the last few weeks!
Our initial deployment of rack space and physical servers was consumed rather quickly and we have been under pressure to deliver more and more services in quick succession. In July, we added a further rack and 8 new ESX hosts in our Central Coast datacenter to meet demand. The current model of Xen and ESX hosting along with templating is sufficient for the majority of services we currently offer but we find we are continually rolling out more complex systems requiring further customization each day.
In response to these ever changing requirements, Wilmott-IT have been busy building an automated stateless cloud model for delivering Infrastructure and Platforms as a Service. Similar to other cloud providers overseas, we hope to deploy an Australian based alternative to local businesses. In the coming weeks we will be releasing Beta testing accounts and move into production in the New Year.
